Artist Mission Statement

My name is Nancy Asbell and I am a lupus survivor.  As a Florida landscape artist, I feel that it is important to give back.  If lupus is my lemons, then my artwork is my lemonade.  I donate ten percent of my art proceeds to the lupus foundation, which gives me joy beyond measure.  Since I’ve been doing this in August 2005, I’ve been in the Jacksonville newspapers and special “Meet the Artist” showings in different galleries, all highlighting lupus awareness.  My current series is “Florida Horizons” but maybe I should subtitle it “My Lupus Lemonade Stand.”
